Friend,

Join the Women’s Pipeline for Change on Thursday, June 29 at 6 p.m. for a virtual session on the importance of boards and commissions! The event will cover everything from challenges around licensing for people of color to creating a more equitable local decision-making process. With outstanding speakers and opportunities for audience engagement, you do not want to miss this critical event.

Speakers include Tony Branch, Executive Director of the Haitian Community Partners Foundation, a commissioner and chair of the Commission on Diversity for Brockton, and the First Vice President of Brockton Area NAACP - among many other titles! Notably, Branch was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in January 2019.

The event will also feature Vedna Heywood - the first Black person elected to town government in Plymouth history. Heywood also serves as the National Board Director and Trustee for the League of Women Voters U.S. She is passionate about mentoring young women from marginalized communities, and will soon be launching her non-profit H.E.L.D which supports that mission.

Register now hear from these phenomenal speakers, and learn about the crucial importance of expanding representation on boards and commissions. We hope that you will join us in being a part of these essential discussions towards change.
