Avi Green is a longtime leader in civic engagement and democracy reform. As the founding Executive Director of MassVOTE, Avi helped launch one of the Commonwealth’s most trusted and effective voices for voting rights, equity, and access. Under his leadership, MassVOTE developed award-winning voter registration and education programs, formed statewide coalitions for election reform, and worked tirelessly to eliminate barriers to democratic participation for historically disenfranchised communities.

Beyond MassVOTE, Avi has served as National Program Director at the Scholars Strategy Network and held leadership roles at Civic Nation and other democracy-focused organizations. A thought leader and organizer, he has authored numerous op-eds, trained hundreds of civic leaders, and remains a passionate advocate for participatory democracy rooted in justice and inclusion.
